Now introducing West Seattle Nature Camp!
Stop by Ounces Taproom and Beer Garden to celebrate and raise funds for our brand new location at Explorer West Middle School in West Seattle. We'll have John the Falconer with LIVE birds from 1–3 p.m., Nature Camp activities, a food truck, and of course beer!! If you're a parent with a child interested in camp, we'll have staff on site ready to help fill out registrations and/or scholarship applications. If you just love beer and birds, you'll be able to meet and take pictures with the birds, and participate in fun activities!
Seattle Audubon started Nature Camp in 1982, and for more than 30 years we've built a reputation for quality environmental learning, emphasizing experiential outdoor activities that instill an appreciation for nature. Nature Camp offers sessions for children entering grades 1–9. From forests to tide pools, there is something for every adventurer.
With this new West Seattle site, our goal is to increase the number of children who attend camp on scholarships. Besides the cost of camp, reaching a new community and helping families with the logistics of sending their children to camp takes a lot of energy and money. Help us raise funds to lighten that burden and make this first year of West Seattle Nature Camp the best it can be.
All donations made through this site and during the event will go to Seattle Audubon and are fully tax-deductible. Also, Seattle Audubon education staff will be providing free children's books for young ones during the event. One book per child, as supplies last.
Registration is now open for Nature Camp. Register and learn more on our website!
